Product photography and video
We produce product photography, packshots and films for brands, businesses and agencies across Hampshire, Surrey and London. The work ranges from consistent ecommerce collections to styled campaign imagery and product demonstrations.
Each image should make a deliberate contribution: explaining a feature, showing a finish, establishing scale or expressing the brand’s visual direction. We use those priorities to define the views, lighting, styling and post-production required.
Ecommerce packshots
Packshots give the product a clear, consistent presentation. A set might include the front, back, side, packaging and details, depending on what someone needs to understand before buying.
Share the number of products and variants, required angles and background preference. If the images need to follow an existing catalogue style or a retailer’s specification, send examples and requirements before the shoot.
Consistency should be planned across the whole set. Changes in crop, scale or background can be distracting when products appear together on a page.
Creative product photography
A styled product photograph can place an item in a setting, explore a material or build a visual idea around the brand. That may involve props, backgrounds or people, depending on the brief.
Tell us what the photograph is for and which features deserve attention. Reference images can help describe a direction, but the final approach should suit your own product rather than simply imitate another campaign.
Product video
Video can show how something moves, is handled or works. It can also focus on shape, texture and details that benefit from changing angles.
If you need short versions or several aspect ratios, include them in the brief. We can then consider those outputs while planning the shots. A demonstration and a brand-led product film are different formats, so it is useful to be clear about which you need.
When is CGI worth discussing?
Some product ideas are better explored through a rendered image or animation. CGI is a separate production approach, with its own requirements for models, materials and references.
See the product CGI study and interactive 3D example. The CGI study shows a rendered image; the interactive example lets the viewer change the angle. They offer useful alternatives when a brief calls for something beyond a fixed photograph.
Preparing the products
Check that the samples are clean, complete and in the condition you want shown. Labels, packaging and small surface marks can become prominent in a close photograph.
Create a list that identifies each product and variant, then match it to the views required. Let us know if items are fragile, valuable, perishable or difficult to move. Discuss delivery or drop-off arrangements with us before sending anything, including how the products will be returned.
What affects the price?
The number of items alone does not tell us how much work is involved. The surfaces, required angles, styling, consistency across variants and retouching all influence the scope. A small group of complex objects may need more attention than a straightforward catalogue set.
Our commercial photography rates provide a starting point. No VAT is charged. Send the details so we can discuss a quote for the actual work required.
Can you match an existing product range?
Yes, we can plan new photography around an existing collection. Send reference images and any retailer specifications so we can assess the background, crop, scale and lighting. Flag changes in size, material or packaging: a reflective item may need a different lighting setup while keeping the same catalogue appearance.
Send your product brief
