Product CGI and visualisation
Our product CGI work uses a constructed digital scene to present the subject. Shape, materials, lighting and viewpoint are developed in relation to the image’s intended use.
Explore the visualisation above. CGI and photography have different production requirements; the appropriate approach depends on the product, available reference material and the representation the brief requires.
What needs to be defined in a CGI brief?
A rendered product still needs accurate information about the subject. Shape, proportions, materials, colours and surface details all influence the result.
Tell us whether you already have a model, drawings or reference photographs. Identify the details that must match the product and who will check them. Dimensions and material references are particularly valuable when the finished image needs to represent a real item accurately.
Choosing the views
CGI allows the camera and lighting to be arranged within the digital scene. Those choices should still follow the purpose of the image.
A product listing may need consistent angles and clear information. A campaign image may focus on a visual idea or one particular feature. If several versions or finishes are required, include them in the scope rather than assuming every variation is automatic.
Still image, animation or interactive model?
These are different outputs. A still gives one fixed composition, an animation introduces movement, and an interactive presentation allows the viewer some control over the view.

Discuss your product imagery
Send the product information, available assets, required views and intended uses. If you are unsure whether photography or CGI is appropriate, describe what you need the image to show.
