Campaign filmmaking for Minus Par Golf

We created From Tee to Tea for Minus Par Golf at Liphook Golf Club in Hampshire. The campaign concept places the clothing within a story that moves between golf and everyday settings.

Filippo and Freddie, a golfer and his student, provide the narrative thread. The apparel is presented through the activity and the relationship between the characters, supported by closer product views.

A story around the product

The brief needed the clothing to be visible without reducing the film to a sequence of isolated product views. Golf-course footage, details of the apparel and lifestyle scenes were brought together around the central characters.

This gives the project two points of interest: the people and the product. The fuller case study explains the concept, planned scenes and production approach.

Planning a clothing or sports campaign

For a similar brief, start with the products and the situation in which they need to be shown. Which details matter? Who is the intended customer? Does the film need to explain a feature, introduce a collection or establish a particular feel?

The answers influence the casting, locations and shot list. If still photography is required as well, identify the images separately so the schedule can make space for them.

Think about the finished formats too. A main campaign film and short social edits may share footage, but the important product details need to work in each format.

Discuss your campaign

For production details, the linked case study explains the relationship between the characters, golf setting and apparel. The film above remains the main reference for the finished visual approach.
