Food photography and restaurant films

We create food and hospitality photography and films for restaurants, brands and agencies across Hampshire, Surrey and London. Our work brings together dishes, drinks, people and interiors, with a visual direction shaped around the business and the commission.

A menu collection, a restaurant profile and a food or drink campaign each demand a different treatment. We consider the presentation, composition and production requirements in relation to where the work will appear.

Food and drink photography

The brief starts with the dishes or products you want to show and the look you have in mind. Are the photographs for a menu, website, press use or an advertising campaign? Do you need individual dishes, a table setting or a wider view of the dining experience?

The answers help establish the shot list, backgrounds and preparation required. Consistency matters across a set, particularly when the pictures will sit alongside one another in a menu or on a website.

Restaurant films

Video can show preparation, service, the dining space and the people involved. It can centre on a single product or introduce the wider business.

If you need a website film and shorter social edits, mention both from the start. A quiet introduction to a restaurant and a fast promotional sequence may use some of the same subject matter, but they need different editorial decisions.

Food, people and interiors in one brief

A hospitality business may need chef portraits and room photographs as well as the food. Planning those elements together gives each part time in the schedule and helps define how the set will be used.

Our Hinds Head project in Bray, commissioned through Beyond, includes food, chef portraits, interiors and lifestyle photography. The article explains the subjects within that commission.

Campaign work for Pepperbox Wines

The Pepperbox Wines campaign brought together six promotional films built around six dishes, alongside photography. We worked with Brightful, with Camilla Coope directing.

The production had a three-week deadline and a three-day shoot. The case study follows the production from the food-pairing brief to the films and photography, with the relevant agency and directing credits.

Preparing for a food shoot

Agree the dishes or products in advance and identify who will prepare and present them. Consider the order they should be photographed, especially where something changes quickly after preparation.

Gather the crockery, glassware, packaging and other items needed for each setup. If branding must appear in a particular way, share the guidance before the shoot. Tell us about opening hours and service periods so the schedule can take the working business into account.

For a combined brief, allow separate attention for still photographs and moving sequences. The same dish may need to be prepared more than once, depending on the shot list.

Should the brief include styling?

It should make clear who is responsible for each part of the presentation. Food preparation, props, backgrounds and the wider setting all affect the image. If an agency or stylist is involved, include them in the planning conversation. If you are arranging the presentation yourself, share the intended look and available items so practical gaps can be identified before the shoot day.

Request a quote

Send the location, approximate number of dishes or products, intended uses and any photography or film references. Include portraits, interiors or other subjects if they are part of the project, along with your dates and deadline.
