Films for Atrium

Our Atrium collection brings together three short films. Explore the individual pieces above as part of our commercial moving-image work.

For a series of short films, each piece needs a defined subject and a clear relationship to the wider collection. In a short format, the opening frame, crop and pace all affect how quickly a viewer understands the subject.

Plan each short around a clear subject

For a similar commission, begin by identifying what each film needs to show. A short format leaves limited room for explanation, so each piece benefits from a clear focus.

If several films are being commissioned together, explain how they relate to one another. They may cover different subjects, different moments or different parts of a larger project. That relationship should guide the filming rather than be decided only after the footage has been recorded.

Composing for mobile viewing

Tell us where the videos will be published and which aspect ratios are needed. Framing a subject for a vertical view can require different choices from a wider website placement.

If text, captions or branding will be added, allow for them in the composition. Important visual information should not depend on an area that a platform interface or graphic may cover.

Preparing the brief

Share the location, subjects, access arrangements and the number of finished pieces you need. Include any existing footage or brand material you want considered, along with the publication schedule.

For each piece, identify the subject, intended channel and essential information. This gives the filming a clear purpose and makes the relationship between the edits easier to judge.
